- It integrates serveral FTP server into a single virtual larger server. It is some kind of network storage stripe.
- The internal cluster communication protocol is FTP, no special server software (or operating system) is required.
- The cluster nodes transfer data with their own network bandwith, the total network troughput of the cluster may be up to the sum of the individual server network speeds.
- The server does not support passive data transfers.
